The brushed nickel kitchen faucet style has become quite popular recently. The nickel brushed faucets are generally more expensive but are much easier to maintain and clean.  The nickel is made onto brass and is electroplated.  The difference between this finish compared to stainless steel kitchen faucets, chrome, and brass is that water spots, smudges, and fingerprints, do not appear as well.  You won’t have to clean them frequently to keep up that great looking appearance.  Also they do not tarnish and are scratch resistant.  The only downside is that brushed nickel can wear away over a long time.
